Job Summary and Responsibilities
As a Radiology Technician, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic radiographic procedures in alignment with ARRT standards. Responsibilities include :
Conducting all types of radiographic procedures, including emergency, surgical, and portable radiographs.Operating radiography equipment to effectively perform procedures.Interpreting physician orders and ensuring safe radiation practices.Assisting with procedures that require sterile techniques.Preparing and administering radiopaque contrast media for exams.Ensuring optimal patient care during procedures.Documenting patient history accurately and safeguarding patient information.Managing minor equipment repairs and reporting issues to supervisors.Qualifications
EDUCATION :
Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program or equivalent qualifications for Texas certification.EXPERIENCE :
Entry-level Radiologic Technologists are welcome to apply depending on the responsibilities of the shift.LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS :
Certification by the Texas Department of State Health Services as a Medical Radiologic Technologist.ARRT (R) certification preferred or registry eligible within 12 months of hire.Basic Cardiac Life Support or CPR certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.At St. David's South Austin Medical Center, you will join a team dedicated to providing exceptional care across various medical specialties.
