What We Need :
We are looking for a Health, Safety, & Environmental Manager to join McCLARIN Composites.
Are you :
- Safety conscientious
- Familiar with environmental and safety regulations
- Someone who can lead an incident investigation process including cause analysis and identify corrective action plans
- Someone who can develop effective interdepartmental relationships
As the HSE Manager, you will ensure assigned sites to comply to internal and external Health, Safety, Environmental requirements and standards. Promote culture to protect people, environment, and community in which we operate. Primary point of contact to governmental and 3rd party inspections, audits, and correspondence.
A Day in the Life of :
Establish, implement, maintain, and improve applicable management system processes for HSE to ensure a positive, safe, healthy, and incident free work environmentMonitor and maintain site(s) compliance to internal and applicable external Health, Safety, Environmental, and Security requirements, and standards.Represent McCLARIN to governmental agencies and 3rd party HSE inspections and audits. Respond timely and appropriately in all interactions and correspondence, including regulatory reporting.Identify and manage HSE risks.Communicates Safety Alerts at a corporate level.Provides HSE management systems training at new employee orientation and refresher trainings.Ensure investigation of HSE incidents and near-misses from initial report to closure to identify root causes and appropriate actions to prevent them in the future.Work with site(s) to achieve company and departmental objectives and key results.Requirements
What Makes You Qualified :
Bachelor's Degree in HSE or related field3-5 years' experience in manufacturing preferredFirst Aid and CPR training preferredOSHA 30hr training preferredMust Haves :
Working knowledge of applicable regulations (OSHA, Title V permitting, Prop 65, etc.) and typical HSE programs.Planning / organizing - prioritize and plan work activities, use time efficiently and develop realistic action plans to manage competing demands. Ability to work independently, multitask and to solve problems under various conditions.Adaptability - adapt to changes, delays, or unexpected events in the work environment.Critical thinking - understand company objectives and values. Determine how to contribute to achieve desired results.Problem solving - identify and resolve problems in a timely manner. Investigate root causes by gathering and analyzing information systematically.Quality control - demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness and monitor own work to ensure quality output.Decision making – utilize appropriate process to make decisions within own accountability or follow standard approval.Interpersonal Skills - must maintain confidentiality as required. Exhibit and coach others on McCLARIN values.Communication – proficient verbal and written skills. Plan and conduct efficient and effective meetings, presentation, and training.
