Job Description

This role involves performing daily lab testing to ensure the quality and safety of our products. You will engage in a variety of tests and analyses, contributing significantly to our operations.

Responsibilities

Perform daily lab testing for sulfur dioxide, carbon dioxide, and oxygen levels.

Conduct stability tests on pre- and post-bottling products and report results to the Lab Manager.

Identify bacteria and yeast cells under a microscope.

Review and report all test results with the Lab Manager.

Perform and record results on all bulk, blends, and fermentations.

Conduct sensory checks and record data for corks.

Accurately perform lab procedures according to written Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Maintain overall lab cleanliness, inventory, data entry, and chemical checks.

Assist the Quality Assurance department and perform Quality Control checks as needed.

Other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

Bachelor's degree in sciences such as Chemistry, Biology, or a related scientific field.

Familiarity with lab safety protocols and SOPs.

Competence in using Excel, Word, and basic computer skills.

Experience with microscopes and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Food or beverage manufacturing experience is a plus.

GMP experience is an advantage.

Can be entry-level from school or have 6+ months of industry experience.

Work Environment

You will work in a state-of-the-art lab with two other lab technicians, with occasional trips to the production floor to collect samples. Our operations prioritize exploration, creativity, and teamwork, with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Bolingbrook, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00 / hr.
