Accounts Receivable Clerk

Job Title

Position Summary : Processes information in the Systems Health information system as required in performing job responsibilities. Is responsible for posting all insurance payments and adjustments including but not limited to Medicare and Medicaid. Assists cashier in accepting patient payments. Insures accuracy and efficiency in posting and balancing of cash.

Qualifications : Required - High School diploma, accounting knowledge, good communication skills, outstanding public relation skills; ability to read and understand Insurance Remittances Advices and / or explanation of benefits. Data entry and cashiering experience, experience in a hospital or medical business office, and knowledge of cashflow process. Preferred - Hospital and or medical cashiering experience and college accounting courses.
