As an AVP, Technology Engineer you’ll lead all systems engineering activities for multiple systems, platforms and engineering / operational support processes.
Provides strategic direction and executive oversight to enterprise business units. Approve systems engineering policies, engineering support policies, standards, and procedures.
Interfaces with other Technology Community to ensure cross-integration of strategic plans.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities :
Oversees the development and integration of strategic and tactical hardware, software, processes and support structures to meet business goals and objectives within service level agreements (SLA’s) to ensure operations excellence and delivery of daily service.
Provides strategic leadership by driving innovation and continuous improvement.
Facilitates strategic and tactical planning and policy decision for business unit by providing guidance for the integration of technological and business processes.
Provides leadership to direct and indirect reports. Oversees the management of associates including career development, performance management, and pay determination and communication.
Is accountable for all financial activities required to operate the environment (budgeting, forecasting, capital spend projections, etc.)
ls accountable for operational vendor management and building strong relationships with strategic vendors.
May perform other responsibilities as assigned.
Reporting Relationships : Reports to Technology leader and leads a team of 20-100 Technology professionals.
Typical Skills and Experiences :
Education : Undergraduate studies in MIS, CIS, or related field. Degree preferred.
Experience : Minimum of 10 years in Technology development or operations. Experience managing large process teams preferred.
Demonstrated expertise in multiple process disciplines such as finance or business processes, IT Service Management processes, application development processes, and / or Technology operations processes required.
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills : Must have demonstrated knowledge of project management concepts and techniques. Must be fully competent in process development or process operations.
Must have strong leadership skills with the ability to work with technical and business teams including virtual teams. Must have the ability to make decisions and recommendations on strategies while considering various options to business units and senior management.
Must have outstanding verbal and written communications skills.
Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence.
Staffing exceptions to the above must be approved by the hiring manager’s leader and HR Business Partner.
