Logistics Lead

The Logistics Lead oversees and provides direction to Logistics Analysts and office staff. The Logistics Lead facilitates creating additional capacity, maximizing productivity, and ensuring prompt, courteous, and efficient service to all customers. Additional responsibilities include development and delivery of the targeted training.

Principal Responsibilities :

Provide high-level direction, mentorship, guidance, and training to Logistics Analysts and other office staff.

Conduct hazard or site assessments and make substantive recommendations to policies and procedures when needed.

Oversee the Logistics Analysts' analysis of daily routing information and the implementation of various routing decisions to further enable premier customer service.

Analyze key performance metrics and proactively adjust and improve weekly route plans to be communicated to Logistics Analysts.

Evaluate month-over-month productivity metrics and create actionable improvement plans.

Drive monthly forecasting meetings with Logistics Analysts and the Operations Manager.

In conjunction with the Operations Manager, drive quarterly disposal plan meetings and discuss recommendations with Logistics Analysts.

Encourage as well as provide support and oversight to Logistics Analyst route auditing.

Serve as trusted escalation point for customer interactions to improve the overall customer experience.

Execute other operational plans to help achieve or exceed the division's Company-established budgeted goals.

Evaluate logistics processes and procedures in order to identify, recommend, and implement improvements to maximize efficiency while minimizing costs.

Fill in for Logistics Analysts during time-off in addition to assigning work to the Logistics Analysts team.

Conduct Logistics Analyst onboarding and remedial training.

Act as the primary point of contact for Logistics Analysts requiring assistance resolving issues.

Complete assigned special projects as directed by the Operations Manager or General Manager.

Perform other job-related duties as needed.

Qualifications :

1 year of lead or similar supervisory experience.

Collaborative leadership : builds and works with teams and promotes a positive work environment.

Creative thinker who challenges conventional solutions in a productive manner.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong ability to conduct multi-layered analyses of various data points and articulate recommendations and decisions.

Project and time management skills with an ability to understand key milestones and objectives to help meet or exceed division budgeted goals, while keeping safety the number one priority.

Good customer service skills to meet and exceed customer expectations; acts in a professional, courteous, and cooperative manner toward customers, co-workers, and employees; works with a sense of honesty and trustworthiness.

Demonstrable understanding of current-state operational processes, pain points, and areas of opportunity by asking high gain questions and engaging in active listening.

Results-oriented in setting and pursuing aggressive goals, demonstrating a strong commitment to organizational success, and utilizing resources to accomplish objectives.

Skillful with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.

Demonstrates and promotes ethical behavior.

Minimum Requirements :

Two plus years of prior experience working as a Logistics Analyst or similar role (required).

Pay Range : $59,040.00 - $88,560.00
