Enterprise Cloud Architect
POSITION SUMMARY :
This position is responsible for our enterprise-wide cloud strategy and leads the design, implementation, and management of our multi-cloud infrastructure, encompassing Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
As a key strategic leader within the organization, this individual will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our cloud maturity, driving innovation, and empowering our teams to achieve operational excellence and digital transformation through cutting-edge cloud solutions.

Cloud Strategy Development : Develop and execute a holistic and forward-looking cloud strategy that aligns with the organization's business goals, and maximizing the potential of both AWS and OCI services.
Architecture Design : Design and architect complex, scalable, and secure cloud solutions that cater to the needs of our enterprise-grade applications, while optimizing cost, performance, and reliability across AWS and OCI platforms.
Cloud Migration : Plan and execute the migration of existing on-premises applications and workloads to the cloud, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum efficiency.
Multi-Cloud Management : Manage and optimize the organization's multi-cloud environment, coordinating between AWS, Azure DevOps, and OCI services to ensure seamless operations.
Cloud Security : Implement robust security measures and best practices to safeguard the organization's cloud infrastructure and data across both AWS and OCI platforms.
Performance Monitoring and Optimization : Monitor the performance of cloud resources, identify bottlenecks, and optimize the utilization of AWS and OCI services to meet performance and cost objectives.
Design, define, document, diagram and develop entity models, data access layers using tools like Enterprise Architect
Compliance and Governance : Ensure adherence to industry standards and compliance requirements while managing cloud resources on AWS and OCI, such as PCI, CCPA, or other relevant regulations.
Cost Management : Develop cost control strategies and continuously monitor cloud spending to ensure cost-effectiveness across both AWS and OCI environments.
Cloud Automation : Utilize automation and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) techniques to streamline cloud deployment and management processes.
Team Collaboration : Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including DevOps, development, and operations, to provide cloud architectural guidance and support.
Incorporate Privacy-by-Design standards to protect sensitive, personal information.
Evaluate and recommend appropriate software or hardware and suggest integration methods
Ensure proper service levels are being met and that a high level of customer satisfaction is being maintained
Ability to foster a sense of teamwork and cross-functional collaboration

Job Requirements :

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS :
- Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 15+ years of progressive industry experience in designing, deploying, and managing cloud solutions with strong focus on AWS, Microsoft Azure, and OCI platforms
- Professional-level certifications in AWS and OCI, such as AWS Solutions Architect Professional and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Certified Architect highly desired
- In-depth knowledge of cloud architecture principles, cloud security best practices, and cloud migration strategies
- Demonstrated experience with Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation), scripting (Bash, Python), continuous integration / continuous deployment (Git, Azure DevOps)
- Expertise in containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, along with experience in architecting microservices-based applications on the cloud.
- Must have used Enterprise grade UML modeling tools such as Sparx Systems EA or Embarcadero ER / Studio is a must
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using tools like Python, CloudFormation, or Terraform
- Strong understanding of networking concepts and experience in configuring virtual private networks (VPNs), subnets, and security groups in the cloud
- Experience with hybrid cloud environments, integrating on-premises infrastructure with AWS and OCI
- Ability to stay updated with the latest cloud trends, technologies, and best practices, adapting strategies accordingly.
- Understanding of Mulesoft Integration framework is a plus
- Understanding of applicable state, federal, and international privacy regulations (HIPAA, CCPA, GDPR) and industry standards (PCI-DSS) required
- Familiarity with NIST security and privacy standards is preferred
- Must be familiar with common application security models such as OWASP and CWE / SANS
- Understanding of Privacy-by-Design principles is preferred
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to translate technical information into business language
