JOB DESCRIPTION
Outage coordination (OC) responsibilities include scheduling, coordinating, and writing distribution switching procedures for NSP construction and maintenance departments adhering to safety policies and guidelines. It is challenging to provide a timely customer response when there are more switch plan requests than resources to coordinate, communicate and write. Maintaining the existing workload with fewer FTEs will result in longer lead time for switch plan coordination, which may result in higher Construction costs due to project delays.

For a distribution operations coordinator : responsible for writing switching procedures, coordination with the control center, getting the switch plan written and in the schedule
What does a typical day look like?
Look at what switch plans need to be written for the upcoming ½ days, sent out for review, work with them to get it approve, once its approve get it on schedule, work with control center, hand it off and follow up with questions that the control center might have.

Familiar with distribution electrical system, trouble man / lineman experience, work well with other,
coordinating / scheduling
