Payroll Processing And Benefit Administration Role

The role is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of US payroll processing and day to day benefit administration in compliance with all laws and regulations. The role will support payroll systems, benefit plans, reporting and audit requests. This role must be able to identify problems and help provide solutions, process improvements and internal controls. The individual must be highly motivated and a self-starter, detail-oriented, has a customer / employee-first mindset, and work effectively as part of a team.

Job Duties And Responsibilities

• Responsible for the accurate and timely processing of US payroll transactions in compliance with company policy and all federal, state, local and jurisdictional laws and regulations utilizing automated payroll processing systems, and assisting in quarter and year end payroll activities (ADP Workforce Now)
• Review payroll input data and supporting documentation to verify accurate payroll processing (new hires, terminations, bonuses, adjustments, equity vests)
• Assist with tax agency and regulator issues and account activities as needed
• Respond to payroll and benefit inquiries from employees and leaders in a timely and professional manner
• Maintain process documentation and records to ensure accuracy, effectiveness and reliability of the established payroll processes and controls
• Support annual reporting, financial audits, and government filings as required
• Understanding mapping of payroll data to the general ledger
• Coordinate day-to-day administration of US employee benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, disability and 401k plans
• Support annual Open Enrollment activities, communication and system set up
• Maintain and process invoices for HR related to benefit and payroll activities
• Reconciles and processes all benefit invoices and payments to include researching and resolving any errors and discrepancies
• Participates in annual 401k audit, compiling necessary data and being a point of contact for auditors
• Conducts non-discrimination tests for cafeteria plan
• Maintains benefit and payroll information on internal company sites
• Administers leave of absence program with third party vendor
• Partner effectively with Human Resources and Finance to ensure appropriate flow of data and reporting
• Other projects and tasks as assigned

Job Skills And Qualifications

2-3+ years of relevant experience

Experience with ADP WorkForce Now preferred

Good understanding of payroll processing systems

Excellent attention to detail and good analytical skills

Experience in all relevant payroll functions, including payroll processing and balancing, internal controls and
