ABOUT THE POSITION

The Oracle Business Analyst CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) is a critical role in supporting our global Oracle Cloud ERP solution.

The position will be our expert in understating and supporting the CPQ functionality within the Oracle Quote to Cash value stream.

CPQ is the starting point for taking quotes which eventually will lead to the creation of sales orders in Oracle ERP. This is an intense and complex piece of functionality with our Oracle ERP Cloud System.

This position will focus on issue resolution and enhancements. It’s a functional role that needs to understand how the system functionality works in regards to CPQ so that tickets / issues can be resolved as well as enhancements completed.

Will need to be able to deal with functional topics, data topics, testing, and business process topics.

Will need to work with many key stakeholders in the business across multiple businesses and functions. Needs to work with Functional BA’s on the implementation project team to ensure that global design is adhered to.

Key Deliverables

• Resolve issues / tickets within CPQ
• Monitor quotes through the quoting process and ensure they are turned into orders
• Train and communicate to others within the organization on how to best avoid issues upstream that cause issues in CPQ
• Continuous improvement to our CPQ solution
• Design and configure CPQ
• Write functional designs, process flows, instructions, and test plans
• Test changes to CPQ
• Enter Change Tickets
• Write training materials

Key Activities & Responsibilities

• Work oracle CPQ issues
• Configure Oracle Cloud CPQ
• Determine and implement a continuous improvement plan for CPQ
• Test the Oracle System and related processes
• Design and document systems solutions / specifications
• Design business processes
• Interpret business requirements and help the business prioritize
• Train users both one on one and more formally in larger groups
• Author functional specification documents
• Design reports
• Coordinate activities with other team members and the business
• Collaborate on cross-functional activities
• Enter and manage Oracle service requests
• Provide 24 x 7 support during production cutover and go-live events
• Work with various vendors

To be successful in this role, your experience and competencies are :

• A BS / BA Degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field or equivalent and / or combination of training and experience as deemed sufficient by management.
• 5+ years of experience as a business analyst and / or technical analyst
• 5+ years of Oracle Cloud Fusion experience specifically with CPQ
• Additional oracle cloud experience around Quote to cash modules including Ordering, Shipping, order orchestration, or Pricing is a plus
• Has experience designing business processes.
• Has experience designing systems solutions.
• Has experience developing and executing test plans.
• Experience coordinating project activities
• Flexible and adaptable in prioritizing workloads, coping with pressures, deadlines, and rapidly changing situations.
• Strong communication skills including presentation skills.
• Creative thinker, results-oriented, analytical mindset, and a focused problem-solver.
