Overview
Equipment Specialist (BCES) role at UICGS / Bowhead Family of Companies in Albany, GA. This contract supports the research, development, acquisition, and life cycle management of motor transport and tactical vehicle platforms for the Fleet Marine Force (FMF) and supporting USMC establishments. The Equipment Specialist will be responsible for the acquisition, production, procurement, fielding, and sustainment of vehicle systems within the PM Motor Transport portfolio, including life cycle management activities, enhancement and refresh initiatives, and modernization coordination. The role also includes sustainment and obsolescence mitigation of legacy vehicle platforms to ensure operational readiness and mission effectiveness across the Marine Corps.
Responsibilities
- Integrate, produce, validate, provide technical input and recommendations to logistics products, and deliver program technical documentation which includes Technical Manuals (TM), Electronic Technical Manuals (ETM), Technical Instructions (TI), Supply Instructions (SI), Modification Instructions (MI), and Stock Lists in accordance with Marine Corps Orders, MIL-DTL-28999D, MIL-HDBK-2361, MIL-STD-40051-1, and MIL-STD-40051-2.
- Provide ETMs as a hyperlinked Operator and Maintenance Electronic Technical Manual (ETM) with Repair Parts and Special Tools List (RPSTL) (including exploded views of all assemblies and subassemblies), a Stock List (SL-3), and Maintenance Allocation Chart (MAC); a Validation Plan and Validation Report shall support ETMs.
- Screen all valid National Stock Numbers (NSNs), Source Maintenance and Recoverability (SM&R) codes and verify all provisioning and integration into the ETM in accordance with SAE-GEIA-STD-0007.
- Support Product Quality Deficiency reports, Equipment Inventories, Provisioning Data Maintenance Analysis, Drawing Package Review, and Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) reports.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree preferred.Three to five (3-5) years of technical experience in support of programs / projects.Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts.Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team.Physical Demands
