Deputy Director
The New York City Mayor's Office is responsible for overseeing city services throughout the five boroughs, coordinating public agencies and departments, and managing public property. As Deputy Director, you will serve as a senior leader within MOCEJ, reporting to the Deputy Executive Director and working closely with the Executive Director and Chief of Staff. You will also collaborate extensively with MOCEJ Deputy Directors to align strategies, integrate programs, and drive initiatives that advance the City's sustainability, resilience, and climate justice goals. You will oversee critical programmatic and operational functions, lead cross-functional teams, and drive strategic initiatives that advance the Mayor's environmental and climate justice agenda. Your role will involve managing complex projects, coordinating with city agencies and external partners, supervising professional staff, and ensuring the effective implementation of policies and programs that protect New York City's environment and promote environmental equity.

You have extensive experience in environmental policy, climate initiatives, public administration, or related fields. You possess strong leadership capabilities with a proven track record of managing teams and complex projects. You have excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including community groups, government officials, and advocacy organizations. You are passionate about environmental justice and committed to creating equitable solutions for all New Yorkers. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and can manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and quality outcomes.
