Assistant Safety Director
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Safety Director to help lead and advance our company-wide safety program across multiple large-scale construction projects. This role supports the Safety Director in overseeing all aspects of safety strategy, compliance, training, and field execution. The Assistant Safety Director will work closely with project leadership, site safety managers, and subcontractors to promote a proactive, people-first safety culture aligned with our corporate values and operational goals. The ideal candidate is a strong communicator and mentor who combines deep technical safety knowledge with practical field experience and leadership capability.
Job Description :
- Support the Safety Director in developing, implementing, and maintaining company-wide safety programs and policies.
- Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to project safety managers and coordinators across multiple job sites.
- Conduct regular site audits and performance reviews to ensure compliance with company standards and all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
- Analyze safety performance data and develop strategies for continuous improvement.
- Assist in leading serious incident investigations, root-cause analyses, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Collaborate with project executives, superintendents, and subcontractors to drive accountability and strengthen safety culture.
- Support and help deliver company-wide safety training, orientations, and competency programs.
- Stay current on OSHA, NFPA, EPA, and other relevant safety regulations, and communicate updates to the organization.
- Assist with internal and external safety audits and client safety reporting requirements.
- Act as a key point of contact for client representatives and regulatory agencies regarding safety performance and compliance.

The Successful Applicant :
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).Minimum 7+ years of construction safety experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership or regional oversight capacity.Proven success managing safety programs for large or complex projects (data center, aviation, healthcare, or industrial preferred).Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA 29 CFR 1926 and other applicable safety and environmental regulations.Strong understanding of high-risk work environments (electrical systems, confined spaces, elevated work, infection control, etc.).Demonstrated ability to lead teams, influence organizational behavior, and foster collaboration across all project levels.Excellent communication, analytical, and presentation skills.What's on Offer :
