Senior Product Manager, World of Warcraft

As a Senior Product Manager you will be responsible for the development of player-centric and data-informed strategies to optimize for long-term success for the franchise. You will be accountable to own one or more strategic projects for World of Warcraft from ideation through to delivery. The ideal candidate is both a thinker and do-er with outstanding communication skills, proven experience in the gaming industry, and a proven track record of supporting AAA products. Importantly, they will have a deep understanding of and empathy for our players because they are a player themselves. This role is anticipated to be a hybrid work position, with some work on-site and some work-from-home. The potential home studio for this role is Irvine, CA or Boston, MA.

Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities :

• Become a core member of cross-discipline pods (including business, design, production) focused on key initiatives to drive World of Warcraft's commercial performance
• Become an expert on our players : their pain points, needs and wants
• Exhibit sound product judgment to influence our game roadmap
• Develop strategies that drive increased acquisition rates, near-term engagement and long-term retention, and monetization
• Take a data-driven approach to collaborate with design and production to identify and implement features which promote retention for different segments of the player base
• Monitor and escalate potential issues and share performance data with development team, publishing, and leadership
• Translate strategy into a set of clear measurable objectives tied to franchise goals, and demonstrate how initiatives impact key business metrics
• Assess the impact of features / initiatives and share what the team has learned within Blizzard
• Monitor the competitive landscape, bringing forward novel approaches and best practices

In the U.S., the standard base pay range for this role is $87,480.00 - $161,910.00 Annual. These values reflect the expected base pay range of new hires across all U.S. locations. Ultimately, your specific range and offer will be based on several factors, including relevant experience, performance, and work location. Your Talent Professional can share this role's range details for your local geography during the hiring process. In addition to a competitive base pay, employees in this role may be eligible for incentive compensation. Incentive compensation is not guaranteed.
