Gordian is looking for a Construction Account Manager based in the San Francisco, Sacramento, and San Jose areas. This role requires professionalism, construction knowledge, and a results‑driven approach while leveraging Gordian’s proprietary construction data and software.
Primary responsibilities include supporting and training clients in Job Order Contracting (JOC)—a procurement method that helps government agencies, schools, hospitals, and higher‑education institutions maximize efficiency and quality.

- Prepare and maintain detailed activity schedules to accomplish procurement objectives within specified timeframes.
- Implement and adhere to project procedures—from identification to scope development, proposal review, contract compliance, notice to proceed, and construction execution—to meet Job Order goals.
- Read and understand construction plans and specifications; conduct comprehensive price proposal reviews and create detailed line‑item proposals.
- Train contractors on Gordian software, client procedures, and assist in client contract bidding.
- Communicate clearly with clients and internal teams to ensure projects are completed on time and on budget.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field; or comparable experience.4–5+ years of construction procurement, management, or general contracting experience in facilities and road construction.Extensive knowledge of commercial public construction operations, pricing, and contracting—including scope development and estimating.Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and project‑management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.Excellent customer service, communication, team‑building, and strategic thinking skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) for custom tracking documents and reports.Background in construction documentation and administration is preferred.Experience with Job Order Contracting or IDIQ and a comprehensive understanding of public procurement and project delivery methods is preferred.Willingness to travel 50–70% within the assigned geographic area.Benefits
