Rang Healthcare is seeking a local contract nurse RN Home Health for a local contract nursing job in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Shift : 8-Hour Day Shifts | 40 hrs / week

Essential Functions :

Assess home health and / or hospice patients in both stable and emergent situations.

Develop, implement, document, and evaluate individualized Plans of Care (POC).

Incorporate physical, psychosocial, cultural, and environmental factors into patient care.

Ensure accurate, up-to-date clinical documentation and patient records.

Provide care following infection control and OSHA guidelines.

Educate patients / families on care, medications, diet, and home safety.

Supervise HHAs, STNAs, or LVNs to maintain continuity and quality of services.

Assess and manage pain effectively; educate patients / families on pain management.

Arrange referrals and coordinate with third-party payers as needed.

Provide on-call services when assigned.

Act as a liaison with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare team members.

Attend interdisciplinary team meetings and participate in case reviews.

Perform specialized nursing tasks (IV therapy, wound care, phlebotomy, catheter / drain care, etc.).

Perform other related duties as required.

Skills & Abilities :

Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills in varied settings

Effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare professionals

Proficient in venipuncture, IV care, and advanced wound management

Knowledge of medications, equipment, and safe patient care practices in the home

Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage tasks under pressure

Commitment to confidentiality, professional growth, and teamwork

Requirements :

Active IN RN License – Required

Homecare Homebase software experience – Required

OASIS documentation experience – Required

BLS / CPR certification – Required

Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and insurance – Required

1-2 years of RN clinical experience – Required

2+ years of Home Health experience – Required

CHPN certification – Preferred

Education :

Graduate of an accredited Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Nursing Diploma Program – Required

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) – Preferred
