National Fleet Manager - Rentals
The National Fleet Manager - Rentals will report to General Manager and will foster collaboration between Equipment Fleet, Sales Leadership and Branch Operations to develop and execute a fleet strategy to meet key performance objectives. This position will support National footprint to drive optimal equipment fleet utilization, return on investment and support the achievement of annual business plan objectives. Drives execution by influencing branch leadership and acting as a change agent. Requires a sense of urgency to resolve problems but at the same time harnesses a strategic mindset to achieve long term.
Job Responsibilities :
- Rental Equipment Fleet Planning, Demand Planning, Optimization, and procurement
- Market & pricing updates for fleet to remain competitive and properly placed in the market
- Analysis and Improvement of Equipment Fleet Performance ROIC, Utilization, Tag status, turn-times
- Alignment with Sales and Financial Strategies
- Proactive Fleet Movements between Markets / Branches
- Support equipment re-rent & supplier relationships for additional fleet
- Manage fleet maintenance for optimal performance, removing underperforming assets and making updates in alignment with business need
- Fleet Life-Cycle Management
- Oversight of Service Fleet (delivery vehicles) for proper utilization
- Creates Standard Work documentation to ensure standards are met
Required Qualifications :
5+ years of Management and / or Program Management.3+ years of experience in the rental and / or HVAC industry.High School Diploma / GED.Preferred Qualifications :
Bachelor's degreePrevious experience as a Branch Manager, Fleet Manager and / or District / Regional ManagerKnowledge of and / or experience in HVAC industry and / or adjacent industriesOversight of functional teams / matrix organizationPeople management experienceManaging a P&L portfolio experienceStrong leadership and negotiation skillsExcellent analytical skills, including in-depth understanding of valuation methodologies.Influencing up and across complex organizations.Sales drivenExcellent Interpersonal and communication skillsDemonstrated problem solving and negotiation skillsStrong team player - experience with high performance teamsSuccessful incumbent must demonstrate behaviors aligned with The Carrier Way, including playing to win, achieving results, choosing speed, daring to disrupt.
