Business Analyst

Client is launching a major initiative to replace its legacy AS400-based Tax Management System with a modern solution. We are seeking an experienced

• Business Analyst
• to play a key role in this transformation, working closely with Tax SMEs, the Project Manager, and other stakeholders to ensure successful system selection and implementation.
• Top Skills Required :
• 5+ years
• as a Business Analyst, preferably in government or public sector environments.
• Experience supporting
• tax system modernization
• or similar enterprise system replacement projects.
• Strong knowledge of
• business process analysis
• , requirements gathering, and documentation best practices.
• Nice-to-Have Skills :
• AS400 experience
• RFP development experience
• Key Responsibilities :
• Collaborate with Tax SMEs and stakeholders to elicit, document, and validate business requirements.
• Analyze current AS400 system functionality to identify gaps and improvement opportunities.
• Contribute to RFP development by defining functional and technical requirements.
• Assist in vendor evaluation and solution mapping to business needs.
• Create process maps, use cases, and functional specifications for system design and implementation.
• Facilitate workshops, interviews, and working sessions to gather insights and drive consensus.
• Support testing, training, and change management during implementation.
• Maintain requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle.

This is a Contract position based out of Austin, TX.

• Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $50.00 / hr.
