Typical task breakdown :
Execute and support the design, test, manufacture, and commissioning of low and medium voltage switchgear that controls multiple generators which parallel to one or more utility sourcesProvide direction to CAD designers to create wiring and assembly drawings for generator paralleling switchgear controlsInteract with internal and external customers, accomplishing project milestonesCreate bill of materials for generator paralleling switchgear controls in ERP systemCreate PLC programs for control of generator paralleling switchgearExecute multiple projects simultaneouslyInteraction with team :

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Electrical, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering preferred8-10 years experience required.Open to 2 year degree with 10+ years of experienceOpen to Masters with same experienceInternships will not count for experienceTechnical Skills

bility to create PLC programs using one of the IEC 61131 PLC Programming languages i.e. Ladder Logic, Function Block Diagram, Structured Text or any other PLC programming languageDesign, test, and commission control systems. i.e. systems with different PLC controllers in the same system, experience interfacing, designing controls with different manufacturersDevelop control software utilizing various PLC platforms. Expert knowledge on at least one of the following PLC platforms. Schneider Momentum, M340, M580, AB Control, Compact Logix, Woodward MSLC, DSLC, Easy Gen, and LS5 ArchitectureInterpret customer specifications and drawings, and apply them to design platform while considering industry regulations and requirementsCustomize PLC software and hardware templates(Desired)
Understand in detail the applicable NEC, UL 508, UL 891, UL 1558, UL MV, CSA 22-2, and ANSI requirements and their applications in switchgear controlsUnderstand protective relays, their functions associated with Generator, and Utility protection applicationsSoft Skills
