Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Conventional Machinist to join our world-class aerospace manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in operating Gantry, Horizontal, and Vertical machines to produce high-precision components for the aerospace industry. Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain various conventional machining equipment, including Gantry, Horizontal, and Vertical machines
- Read and interpret complex engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications
- Set up machines for each job, including selecting appropriate tools, fixtures, and work-holding devices
- Perform precision machining operations to manufacture aerospace components with tight tolerances
- Monitor machining processes and make necessary adjustments to ensure product quality and consistency
- Conduct in-process inspections and measurements using precision measuring instruments
- Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues as they arise
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations
- Collaborate with engineers, quality control personnel, and other machinists to improve processes and solve technical challenges
- Document work processes, production data, and quality control information as required
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and reduce waste
- Train and mentor junior machinists as needed
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and quality management systems
QualificationsRequired :
High school diploma or equivalentMinimum of 5 years of experience as a Conventional and CNC Machinist in aerospace or related industriesProficiency in operating Gantry, Horizontal, and Vertical machinesStrong knowledge of machining principles, cutting tools, and materials used in aerospace manufacturingAbility to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and technical specificationsExperience working with various metals and alloys used in aerospace applicationsProficient in using precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, gauges)Strong problem-solving and analytical skillsExcellent attention to detail and commitment to qualityAbility to work independently and as part of a teamStrong communication skills, both verbal and writtenFlexibility to work different shifts as required
