Senior Field Marketing
We are seeking a dynamic, strategic, and hands-on Head of BDR to lead our growing global business development function. Based in Germany, you will oversee and unify a diverse team of BDRs operating across Europe and the US. Your mission will be to align regional teams under a cohesive strategy, foster a high-performance culture, and standardize KPIs and best practices to drive consistent pipeline growth.
This is a pivotal leadership role where you'll have the opportunity to shape the direction and impact of our outbound and inbound lead generation efforts on a global scale. You will work closely with Sales, Marketing, Enablement, and RevOps to ensure alignment, consistency, and scalable success across all territories.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor regional BDR managers and individual contributors across Europe and the US
- Build a unified global BDR culture focused on collaboration, accountability, and results
- Foster knowledge sharing and team cohesion across time zones and geographies
- Define and implement a unified set of performance KPIs and productivity metrics
- Build a culture of continuous improvement, feedback, and high output
- Monitor and report on team performance, pipeline contribution, and attainment
- Evaluate current tools, cadences, messaging, and processes across all regions
- Standardize best practices in outreach, qualification, and handoff to Sales
- Partner with Marketing and RevOps to refine lead flows and improve conversion rates
- Partner with Talent and Enablement to hire, onboard, and ramp top BDR talent
- Ensure regular coaching, training, and career development planning
- Drive retention and engagement through clear paths for progression and performance
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
58+ years of experience in BDR / SDR leadership roles, including multi-region team managementProven track record of building or transforming BDR organizations at scaleStrong understanding of performance metrics, sales development strategies, and lead managementExperience aligning teams around unified KPIs and playbooks across marketsExcellent communication, coaching, and cross-cultural collaboration skillsFluent in English (German is a strong plus but not required)Willingness to travel occasionally to regional offices and eventsAbout Forterro
