Overview Software Development Engineer - II (Visual Designer) is a mid-level Individual Contributor (IC) role for crafting engaging, data-driven interfaces for enterprise cybersecurity solutions. You will help scale design systems and transform complex security data into clear, actionable visualizations that enable users to make informed decisions.
Key Roles & Responsibilities Design enterprise-grade interfaces with strong visual and interaction design for complex cybersecurity workflows.
Build and maintain design systems and component libraries that scale across multiple product lines.
Create sophisticated data visualizations to make complex enterprise security data accessible and actionable.
Collaborate with product designers, product managers, and engineers to balance user needs with technical constraints.
Contribute to design strategy and establish visual design standards across the organization.
Participate in design critiques and user research sessions to validate and iterate on design decisions.
Basic Qualifications 3–5 years of visual design experience with a strong portfolio showcasing enterprise product design (portfolio submission required).
Expertise in building design systems (component libraries, style guides, design tokens) with a systems-thinking approach for scalability and consistency.
Hands-on experience in data visualization for dashboards, analytics, and reporting tools.
Strong foundation in typography, color theory, and layout with pixel-perfect execution mindset.
Proficiency in Figma and design handoff processes, collaborating with development teams.
Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG), inclusive design practices, and ability to work both collaboratively and independently.
Preferred Qualifications Experience designing for cybersecurity, IT infrastructure, or developer tools.
Familiarity with data visualization libraries (D3.js, Chart.js) and understanding of technical implementation.
Experience with design tokens and advanced design system methodologies.
Knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design practices.
Background in motion design or micro-interactions for enterprise applications.
Experience working in agile development environments and familiarity with design sprints.
