BASIC PURPOSE :

The Manager of Payments Technology oversees and enhances the entire payments ecosystem within Loves, leading the development and implementation of payment strategies aligned with organizational goals.

They ensure seamless, secure, and efficient transaction processes, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive innovations in payment technology, optimize operational efficiencies, and ensure regulatory compliance.

The role requires proactive adaptation to emerging payment trends, changing consumer preferences, and identifying growth opportunities.

The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader, committed to delivering excellence in payment services and fostering strong relationships both internally and with external partners.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES :

Leadership and Operational Management

Drive results across the organization in line with company culture ensuring we have the right people in the right place doing the right thing at the right time in the right way.

Lead, prioritize, and direct the work of the payments team analysts and dedicated development team.

Establish a high performing team culture characterized by exceptional customer service, innovation, financial discipline, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.

Understand and align to business needs and assist with organizational change management.

Establish KPIs and metrics to drive team efficiency.

Technical Competency

Develop understanding of payments systems, payment security, RFID technology, and other mobile payment technology.

Serve as the key intermediary between the Corporate IT Infrastructure department and the payments team, ensuring that our payment solutions are operating at peak efficiency.

Strategic Planning and Execution

Research, review, and analyze existing processes to enhance payment solutions (i.e., CRM, customer management, fleet pricing, contract management).

Drive innovation in payment technologies to enhance customer experience and operational efficiency.

Manage projects from conception to completion, meeting deadlines, budgets, and quality standards.

Innovate using knowledge and awareness of industry trends to identify new product opportunities and drive them from end-to-end

Work alongside the business to develop, own, and execute product roadmaps.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Management :

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to inform product vision, strategy, and features.

Develop and maintain relationships with external vendors for access to the latest technologies.

Compliance and Risk Management :

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members to foster continuous improvement and learning.

Stay abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes affecting payment technologies and ensure compliance.

Project Management :

Manage projects from conception to completion, ensuring they meet deadlines, budgets, and quality standards.

Navigate projects, initiatives, deployments, changes, etc., ensuring correct prioritization.

Receive and respond to after hour calls, pages, and / or e-mails regarding incidents whenever necessary.

Review business needs, refine priorities, outline milestones and deliverables, and identify opportunities and risks.

Stay abreast of industry trends and regulatory changes affecting payment technologies and ensure compliance.

Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :

Education :

HS Diploma or equivalent required

Bachelor's degree in computer science, management information systems or business or other related field or equivalent experience and / or certification (Preferred)

Experience :

3-5 years’ experience in credit card payments or e-commerce solutions

5-7 years’ experience in project management and business analysis activities

Experience with Retalix POS suite, SAP, AJB Software, ACI Postilion, or other ERP packages is a plus (Oracle, JD Edwards, etc.)
