Job Summary / Company :

Sparks Group has teamed with a renowned government transportation contractor and is searching for a qualified, committed and motivated Sr. AP Accountant. The Sr. AP Accountant will have strong Vendor Master, Vendor Setup, 1042 / 1099 / W9 experience and help implement highly-visible process improvements within the Accounts Payables team, with meticulous AP Vendor Database processing using ERP’s like Concur, Oracle and / or Fusion. Responsibilities :

• Prepare and analyze Accounts Payables, journal entries, income statement, balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other financial reports for the AP team on a regular basis.
• Most notably, the ideal candidate must have strong Vendor Master, Vendor Setup, 1042 / 1099 / W9 experience.
• Analyze statements and review / approve any proposed adjustments, prepare audit schedules and communicate with auditors
• Assist with implementing highly-visible process improvements within the Accounts Payables team procedures to increase efficiency.
• Apply knowledge of laws and regulations and ensure compliance to regulations, policies and procedures
• Provide input and support the development of verbal, analytical, and visual presentation materials for Executive Management
• Support multiple projects, identify opportunities, and carry out ad hoc tasks
