Marketing Production Specialist
Under the direction of the Director of Tribal Brand Marketing, the Marketing Production Specialist is a key supportive role that ensures the Yuhaaviatam of San Manuel Nation (YSMN) brand and identity are executed properly throughout all aspects of marketing and communications, internally, externally and within the Tribal Community. Is responsible for project management of all Tribal Government Operations and Tribal Community marketing projects and initiatives. Is responsible for coordinating editorial content, timelines, resources, and teams to ensure high-quality outputs of Hamiinat magazine and the Tribe's documentary film projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Manages the production of Hamiinat magazine including the day-to-day logistics for the magazine to include editorial planning, production schedules, working with writers, photographers and designers, design review and routing, photoshoot logistics and management, layout review, proofreading, editing, and prepping materials for leadership and Tribal Council review. Manages the distribution of the magazine throughout Enterprise and beyond.
- Manages a collection of projects coming through TBM, preparing intake requests, creative briefs, and scheduling. Oversees the planning, organizing, and completion of all assigned projects, ensuring they are completed on time, on budget, and within scope. Ensures all departments follow and abide by the Tribal Brand book, which outlines the brand standards and approved messaging.
- Collaborates with Vice President, director, producer, and crew to manage logistics for documentary film projects to include scheduling, location management, and equipment rentals. Schedules interviews and tracks production timelines to ensure projects remain within scope.
- Develops and manages productive relationships with Tribal Government Operations and Enterprise teams, along with Native organizations, vendors, and dedicated agencies. Directs interaction with the Tribal community for interview scheduling, editorial planning, relationship development, and communications.
- Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient operation of the department.
Education, Experience and Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in advertising, business, marketing or related analytical field required.Minimum four (4) years of experience in marketing and / or project management is required.Related, relevant, and / or direct experience may be considered in lieu of minimum educational requirements.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA) :
Strong familiarity with Production and Copywriting work for integrated Marketing campaign outputs including but not limited to : traditional media (billboards, TV, radio, print); emerging / digital media (social media, streaming media and websites); multimedia (LEDs, motion graphics, video); signage & collateral (flyers, brochures, etc.); and direct marketing (mailers, postcards, e-mail) strongly preferred.Excellent project management skills required.Exceptional written and verbal communication, grammar and proofreading skills with acute attention to detail required.Ability to have an analytical approach to problem solving with an emphasis on managing within a team environment which is focused on results is required.Familiarity with marketing project management software (i.e. WorkFront) preferred.Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks / projects to support multiple high-level executive positions and multiple marketing / entertainment verticals under his / her purview preferred.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Suite : Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, and Canva preferred.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected and proficiency with a wide variety of industry standard concepts, practices, and procedures.Licenses, Certifications and Registrations :
At the discretion of the San Manuel Tribal Gaming Commission, you may be required to obtain and maintain a gaming license.Authorized Driver : Role requires operation or driving of Tribe-owned vehicles or driving patron vehicles. A valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record as determined by the insurance carrier is required.Physical Requirements / Working Conditions Environment :
Primary work environment is in a climate-controlled office setting.Work requires travel to attend meetings, trade shows, and conferences.Incumbents may be required to work evening, weekend and holiday shifts.Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.Strength sufficient to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and / or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects and / or move up to 40 pounds occasionally.Sedentary work : involves sitting most of the time.
