Sheet Metal Mechanic

Pay : $25-$32 Depending on Experience + $100 per diem per days worked

Location : Lynchburg, Virginia

We are seeking skilled Sheet Metal Mechanics and Lead Mechanics with over 3 years of experience. The roles are available across multiple sites, including Lynchburg and Hampton Sydney College. Candidates will be responsible for a variety of tasks, from reading blueprints to leading teams, and will be working on projects with durations ranging from 6 months to a year.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints to understand project requirements.
• Lead and manage a crew of 2 to 6 team members, depending on experience.
• Install duct work and related equipment efficiently and accurately.
• Perform layout tasks for duct and equipment placement.
• Supervise daily tasks and ensure project timelines are met.
• Transport tools, materials, equipment, and supplies to work sites.
• Maintain and clean work areas to ensure safety and efficiency.

Work Environment

The work schedule includes Monday to Friday from 6 : 00 am to 4 : 30 pm, with occasional Saturday shifts from 6 : 00 am to 2 : 30 pm. The work involves exposure to varying temperatures and all weather conditions. A positive attitude, punctuality, and teamwork are essential, along with reliable transportation.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Norfolk, VA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $32.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
