Overview
We're looking for a skilled Building Automation Technician to join our team in Miami, Florida . In this role, you'll be responsible for the installation, programming, troubleshooting, and commissioning of building automation systems for a wide range of commercial and institutional facilities. You'll work hands-on with HVAC controls, lighting, and energy management systems , helping integrate these platforms into unified, efficient, and intelligent environments. The position requires a strong technical mindset, attention to detail, and a passion for solving complex system challenges in the field.
Compensation
- Salary Range : $75,000 – $90,000 per year
- Additional : Relocation assistance and signing bonuses available for qualified applicants
Key Responsibilities
Install and configure Building Automation System (BAS) hardware and software componentsProgram and calibrate controllers, sensors, actuators, and field devicesPerform system testing, troubleshooting, and commissioningSupport field operations and service teams to ensure proper system performanceCollaborate with engineers to interpret and implement wiring diagrams and control sequencesDocument installation progress, configuration parameters, and test resultsConduct site visits to verify functionality and compliance with specificationsStay current with industry technologies, tools, and safety practicesQualifications
Proven experience with building automation or HVAC controls systemsFamiliarity with Niagara, Distech, or similar BAS platformsWorking knowledge of BACnet, Modbus, or LonWorks communication protocolsStrong understanding of HVAC, electrical, and control systemsExcellent diagnostic and problem-solving skillsAbility to read and interpret technical drawings and wiring diagramsTechnical degree, certification, or equivalent hands-on experienceWillingness to travel locally for installations and service workJ-18808-Ljbffr
