Job descriptionOperate production machinery, move materials, and support workflow on the shop floor. Collaborate with production teams to optimize processes and reduce downtime. Inspect raw materials, in-process components, and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications. Conduct measurements, tests, and visual inspections using appropriate tools and equipment. Document inspection results accurately and maintain records for traceability. Report non-conformances and assist in implementing corrective actions. Support continuous improvement initiatives in both production and quality areas. Assist with receiving, inspecting, and verifying incoming materials against purchase orders. Coordinate with purchasing and inventory teams to ensure timely availability of materials. Support inventory management by tracking stock levels, reporting shortages, and helping with material replenishment. Maintain organization and cleanliness in storage and production areas. Ensure adherence to safety protocols, standard operating procedures, and regulatory requirements. Participate in audits, inspections, and quality system initiatives. High school diploma or equivalent required; technical or vocational training preferred. 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, production, or quality control; experience in procurement or materials handling a plus. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving ability. Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and work instructions. Familiarity with production equipment, measurement tools, and quality inspection methods. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Basic computer skills (MS Office, ERP systems preferred). Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs frequently. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally. Must be able to assist with team lifting of loads exceeding 50 lbs occasionally. Must be able to stand for the entire length of the shift (up to 10 hours). Frequent climbing of ladders, bending, stooping, twisting, kneeling, and reaching. Ability to work in and around manufacturing and production equipment. Must be able to see and hear to acknowledge critical safety instructions, alarms, forklift traffic, and perform quality and equipment inspections. Must be able to sustain repetitive movement of both upper and lower extremities with varying degrees of force. Must be able to push and pull up to 100 pounds of force regularly, including moving pallets, carts, glass / plastic sheets, and boxes using a hand truck or similar equipment.
