Summary

The Sr. Engineer - Welding / Metallurgist plays a critical role within the Engineering & Construction Quality Assurance group, providing technical expertise in welding and metallurgical practices across pipelines, plants, structural components, and materials. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining company welding procedures, ensuring compliance with industry codes and company standards, and supporting quality assurance efforts throughout the organization.

This position offers a unique opportunity to work on complex engineering challenges, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and influence the quality standards that define our operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and approve welding procedures in accordance with ASME, API, and other industry codes.
• Review and validate vendor welding procedures and ensure compliance with company standards.
• Lead welding-related failure investigations and provide technical reports with actionable insights.
• Support construction, operations, and maintenance teams with welding expertise and risk mitigation strategies.
• Maintain and update the 3rd Party WPS Approval database.
