Partnerships at Assouline collaborate with brands and individuals to create bespoke, luxury books, managing the client journey from initial inquiry and budget negotiation to ensuring service that aligns with Assouline's editorial standards. The Partnerships team operates at the intersection of client relations and creative services, ensuring precision, discretion, and excellence expected of a luxury brand.
Assouline is seeking a detail-oriented Partnership Account Manager to join the team. The role facilitates communication with potential brands by strengthening existing relationships and fostering new collaborations, supports development and execution of new business, and forges publisher relationships with the right decision makers.
Key Responsibilities
- Account Management : Conduct daily new business calls with perspective partners to understand goals and assess alignment with Assouline business model; work cross-functionally with leadership and stakeholders to develop project plans per perspective partner; serve as dedicated liaison for prospective partners from project development through contract execution; ensure timely responses to inquiries; manage multiple projects through different stages of development to meet deadlines; conduct strategic outreach to potential partners to promote specific Assouline-defined verticals.
- Proposal Development : Work cross-functionally with leadership and appropriate stakeholders to create creative book project proposals and budgets.
- Scope Negotiations : Work cross-functionally with leadership to prepare and negotiate scopes to ensure deliverables and finances are aligned; communicate scope and deliverable negotiations with client as main liaison and point of contact.
- Research and Analysis : Conduct research to identify potential partners and analyze market trends to inform partnerships.
- Record Keeping : Maintain accurate and detailed records of all partnership activities, including call notes, drive organization, and master budget tracking systems.
- Administrative Tasks : Perform administrative duties as needed (scheduling meetings, preparing materials); regularly update and maintain partnership databases; organize internal team meetings and related logistics.
Qualifications
2-4 years of experience in creative project management, partnerships or creative client servicesExperience working with benchmarks or luxury brandsKnowledge of current events and ability to identify consumer trendsExperience managing and negotiating project proposals and budgetsImpeccable writing and correspondence skills; ability to write error-free presentations and lettersExceptional organizational skills; clear and effective communication on calls and in meetingsAbility to delegate information effectively to internal and external teamsFinancially motivated to prioritize budgets to meet business objectivesStrong scheduling discipline to prioritize milestones and objectives; ability to work under pressure and manage heavy workloadsGood judgment and ability to escalate critical issues to the right stakeholdersYou will thrive in this role if you are :
