Job Summary

The Café Manager will lead all aspects of the full food service scope of our legacy café operation to include our daily breakfast and lunch service for approximately 1400 guests as well as set-up our dinner on-the -go program for success daily.

The Café Manager will directly coordinate a café supervisor, 5 foodservice employees, 2 baristas, work directly with the Café Executive Chef for oversight of 25 cooks, and utility workers.

This position requires a flexible schedule to supervise key business needs between our meal periods, as well as occasional assistance with large scale campus wide events.

Key Responsibilities :

• Maintains excellent relationships with the client
• Works with the Chef and management team in crafting nutritious and top quality food
• Acts as a liaison between the Company, Client, and the community

Preferred Qualifications :

• Prior experience with corporate food service dining, hotel food service, or large scale restaurants is required
• Involvement with food service renovations is a plus
• This is a union account, prior management of unionized workers is desired but not required
• Exceptional customer service, strong ability to learn new technology to implement change, and time management is required.
• Three to five years of foodservice management experience required
• Dining experience preferred
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Financial and business acumen
