Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Plant Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves providing expert guidance on process improvements and feasibility studies, acting as a Subject Matter Expert on equipment and machinery, and managing the procurement and installation of parts and equipment.

Responsibilities Include :

Provide guidance to Engineering team on process improvements and feasibility studies

Act as Subject Matter Expert for anything related to equipment and machinery

Procure parts, labor and equipment, and execute on those projects with GCs for installation and integration

Maintain and improve product engineering documentation and manufacturing BOMs

Develop and optimize manufacturing process routings and methods

Recommend product and tooling designs for production efficiency

Design efficient plant layouts and workflows

Partner with Maintenance Manager for PM schedules and equipment oversight

Must Have

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Industrial or Mechanical preferred)

5+ years in manufacturing or industrial engineering; plastics industry preferred

Experienced with capital expenditure and oversight of equipment installation and commissioning

Strong knowledge of process optimization, equipment automation, and validation

Experience leading small teams or cross-functional groups

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Elyria, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $41.00 - $51.00 / hr.
