Kalamazoo Candle Company Marketing Content Coordinator

Kalamazoo Candle Company is hiring a Content Coordinator to create engaging content, boost brand awareness, and drive online sales using data-driven strategies and creativity.

Location : 202 S Kalamazoo Mall & 2050 Stanley Ave

Position Type : Part Time, Non-Exempt

Pay : $20 27 per hour.

Hours : 20-30 hours per week. We are flexible and will work with the right candidate.

Job Summary

Kalamazoo Candle Company is in search of a Content Coordinator (CC) who possesses the ability to think creatively and write excellent content. By leading the content creation / curation for our brand the CC will increase brand awareness, attract new customers, increase online sales revenue, and create worthwhile customer experiences through various channels.

The CCs main objective for success will be defined by their ability to create high quality content that aids KCCs ambitious goal for growth in ecommerce and retail revenue via marketing platforms. The CC should be comfortable finding creative ways of building an online community, as well as utilizing analytics (such as SEO and social data) to create strategic content.

Duties & Responsibilities

Create and execute annual marketing plan including :

Create and manage all marketing emails to customers

Coordinate marketing processes and ensure all tasks get completed on time

Track and report on effectiveness of marketing campaigns

Manage social media / website including :

Writing, editing, and curating content across multiple channels and formats including blogs, social posts, videos, web pages, marketing emails

Execute content strategy that positively impacts brand awareness and increases revenue

Manage all social media channels to include posting schedules, content for posts, responses to customers, and engagement with community members

Create and maintain content for company websites

Work with internal and external resources to develop photography and video content

Work collaboratively with designer, photographer, and others at KCC and externally to achieve marketing goals

Develop and maintain collateral material

Acts as backup for customer service staff

Proven success developing and creating strategic content

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Creativity, attention to detail, and good eye for design

Proficiency in the use of modern marketing tools (examples : Meta, Klaviyo / Mailchimp)

Knowledge of Shopify platform helpful but not required

Strong desire for learning and growth

Experience working with email marketing solutions is desired

Customer service mindset with strong ability to deliver results and communicate with customers and fellow staff at a high level
