SUMMARY:
The Maintenance Team Lead is responsible for the assignment, coordination, and/or the execution of activities within the maintenance group to ensure a productive workforce that supports the facility. Assists with planning and preparation of work orders, preventative maintenance, and new projects to ensure the plant is maintained is a safe, reliable and efficient manner.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee the installation, maintenance and repair of machinery, equipment, physical structures, and utility systems.
- Provide training & mentoring for all maintenance employees.
- Prioritize maintenance activities and employee tasks based on communication from Maintenance Manager. Coordinate planned downtime with operations teams and scheduler to complete maintenance in an efficient manner.
- Ensure that workflow and daily tasks are assigned and completed.
- Interface with production managers, supervisors and maintenance personnel regarding equipment problems and evaluate machine operation variations to diagnose problems or to repair machinery.
- Work with Maintenance Manager and Maintenance Facilitator to ensure that appropriate maintenance/repair parts are readily accessible for critical production machinery and facilities.
- Ensure that work areas and general facilities comply with Clark-Dietrich safety standards. Promote housekeeping throughout department.
- Maintain department computer and documentation systems through organizing, controlling, and updating as required.
- May fill in for Maintenance Manager in their absence and manage the facility in the same capacity as the Maintenance Manager.
- Ensures that all safety requirements are met by all employees. Correct all unsafe acts and/or conditions.

Safety

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- Prior manufacturing experience preferred.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
- Basic mathematical skills, addition, subtraction, multiplication and converting fractions into decimals.
- Ability to read a tape measure, micrometer and caliper accurately.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Lifting- Up to 50lbs.
