Senior Highway Engineer

GFT is seeking a Senior Highway Engineer to join our Transportation Team in Denver, CO.  This role follows a  hybrid work model , requiring regular attendance at our Denver, CO office.

What you’ll be challenged to do :

We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Highway Engineer to join our Denver team and contribute to exciting upcoming projects. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex highway design projects in a hybrid work environment while collaborating with industry-leading professionals. In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following :

• Perform engineering design tasks for highway projects from preliminary to final design
• Develop construction contract documents, such as specifications, cost estimates and review construction documents such as shop and working drawings.
• Establish working relationships and contact with client technical staff and project managers especially in CDOT and local governments
• Mentor and assist junior engineers in developing final design plans
• Collaborate with highway staff to develop projects
• Coordinate design activities and meetings between design staff, subcontractors, and client managers
• Participate in project decisions regarding technical approaches, cost and scheduling performance
• Works as part of a project team within the highway disciplines.
• Perform Deputy PM and PM tasks.

Compensation :

The salary range for this role is $112,000 - $170,000 . Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
