Account Specialist

As an Account Specialist, you will make a vital contribution within the Underwriting Support Unit of our product field operations by working with underwriters and CoE partners to develop and deliver tailored solutions whilst handling some of our complex accounts. Providing technical guidance to other junior support staff while working under moderate supervision will be important too. Other key responsibilities will include :

• Partnering with regional underwriters and / or more senior UW Support employees in the end-to-end processing of new and renewal business.
• Research accounts, analyze data, reporting and handling billing inquiries.
• Evaluating new and renewal submissions against prescribed criteria to determine completeness.
• Identifying and resolving account alerts and blocks during the submission process to avoid account conflicts.
• Performing data analytics, remodeling, when necessary, referral documentation preparation and completion, as well as form checklist and working approval.
• Assist with training and oversight of less experienced support staff.

What we're looking for : Eager to learn from experiences and new situations, you're great at navigating and switching between proprietary, vendor, web-based and standard computer systems, according to priorities. You're also great at identifying problems and coming up with appropriate solutions. A customer service mindset and ability to proactively engage with a variety of clients and promptly respond to phone calls and / or emails is important too, as is the ability to maintain accurate and updated files.
