Accounting Clerk
Job Description
Position Title : Accounting Clerk
Location : Walnut Creek, CA
Salary Range : $25 - $35 per hour
Responsibilities :
- Process accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Manage vendor invoices, purchase orders, and receiving documents to ensure timely payments.
- Handle customer invoices, payments, and collections activities to maintain positive cash flow.
- Perform data entry tasks to update and maintain financial records in the accounting system.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions on a regular basis.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Work closely with the General Ledger team to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelors degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in both accounts payable and accounts receivable roles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Timberline highly preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
