$46.24 - $68.45 hourly open to the general public and any current municipal employee. This is a non-represented position (no union affiliation) and is subject to the provisions of the personnel rules of the municipality of anchorage.

Hours of work : Monday through Friday; 8 : 00 a.m. to 5 : 00 p.m.

Starting pay does not exceed the midpoint of the displayed pay range.

Example of duties :

• Under general direction of the Chief Human Resources Officer, oversee, manage, plan, organize, direct and control the activities of the Employment Services Division which includes employment, classification, and records.
• Provide employment, classification, and records support services to all municipal departments.
• Oversee the proper resolution of complaints and / or grievances and appropriate corrective actions.
• Interpret policy intent and / or acceptable management practices to ensure fair and consistent application of policies.
• Perform fact-finding and conduct internal investigations and prepare reports of findings.
• Perform full range of management activities such as budget administration, establishing goals and objectives and development of policies and procedures.
• Other related duties as assigned.
