The Pricing Database Administrator sits within the Pricing Development and Analytics function to support the wider business through managing the commercial team’s database whilst ensuring optimal performance, server continuity and maintenance. You will be developed and coached by the Data Engineer for growth and upskill opportunities in this specialised function. All responsibilities and activities will contribute to the wider Pricing team’s success in delivering revenue growth and margin expansion.
In this role you will be responsible for :
- Report into the Pricing Development and Analytics Manager, but dotted line reporting to Pricing Data Engineer
- Develop data tools, solutions and modelling as required
- Manage all ETL / SSIS packages, database, data cubes and models, and team server environments
- Manage the SQL server maintenance, enhancements and related table creations and views
- Generate optimised SQL queries and stored procedures
- Work closely with the team Data Engineer on building data pipelines and ETLs
- Facilitate BI and data reports as required
- Ensure housekeeping and proactively improve database architecture, data integrity and quality
Skills & Experience Required :
Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience within a similar role relating to database management contextStrong capability with MS SQL (SSRS, SSIS, SSAS)Able to effectively communicate with key stakeholdersExperience managing SQL databases however cloud-based data platforms highly regardedSAP HANA experience desired but not mandatoryKnowledge of maintaining and developing data infrastructure pertinent to front end applicationsProven critical thinking and problem solving abilitiesWork autonomously and independently on tasks and projects is a mustExperience using Agile and Scrum project management methodologiesAbility to interpret and translate technical scope into commercial contextSkilled in visualisation platforms such as Power BI or Tableau highly regardedWorking with us
