About Next Level SportsAt Next Level Sports, we are passionate about bringing the best youth sports experience for all, both on and off the field. We apply operational diligence and technology in thoughtful and innovative ways to unlock our young athletes' curiosity, passion, and desire for sports education, competition, and skill development.Our headquarters are based in San Mateo, California, with operations in 24 states, including California, Arizona, Oregon, Washington, Nevada, Montana, Colorado, Utah, Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Nebraska, Iowa, Tennessee, Georgia, and Pennsylvania. Our programs are currently available to youth participants from Kindergarten through 8th grade. Our partners include high-level high schools as well as NCAA athletic programs in various sporting disciplines.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with end-to-end payroll processing for seasonal and part-time employees.Perform accurate data entry, ensuring timesheets, wages, and employee information are processed correctly.Maintain and organize payroll records, onboarding documents, and compliance reporting.Support payroll troubleshooting by partnering with the Customer Support team and responding to employee inquiries.Work closely with the Lead Payroll & Operations Specialist to manage workflow, track deadlines, and complete payroll tasks on time.Assist with auditing hours, reconciling discrepancies, and ensuring all payroll changes are approved and documented.Collaborate on improvements to payroll processes and help ensure compliance with state and federal labor laws. Maintain and update payroll / finance reference spreadsheets (minimum wage, site histories, role rates).Support Payroll Operations team in communicating with site directors, customer support, and ADP.Track, organize, and reconcile payroll discrepancies (returned checks, uncashed payments, address changes).Contribute to ongoing payroll process improvements and compliance initiatives.Qualifications : Bachelor's degree required.Strong knowledge of Excel (formulas, VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc.) required.Comfort and knowledge of startup environments and problem solving.
