This 100% on-site position provides specialized repair (radiology, nuclear medicine) and maintenance services to diagnostic imaging and laboratory equipment, and biomedical equipment.
Responsibilities
- Perform repair and maintenance on "High Tech" imaging equipment (Cath Lab, MRI, Advanced CT Scanners, PET units) more than 75% of the time.
- Utilize training opportunities to significantly reduce contract dependency for the same equipment.
- Lead in the Clinical Engineering department, providing oversight and assistance to Field Service Specialists for efficient and cost-effective repair and maintenance.
- Effectively handle all service emergencies and necessary communications with Vendor, Department, and Clinical Engineering Manager.
- Assist in ordering parts and supplies necessary for servicing Diagnostic Imaging and Biomedical equipment.
- Provide coverage and support for the CE Manager during the manager's absence.
- Provide input to the CE Manager regarding new service opportunities within a location serviced by the Clinical Engineering Division.
- Provide appropriate service cost history to the CE Manager with an emphasis on Contract vs. Time and Material contrast for continual reduction of service expense.
- May also provide repair and maintenance of general biomedical equipment as secondary responsibility or as assigned.
Job Requirements
Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering or related field, or equivalent military education, graduate of technical program, or equivalent training validated through training certificates, or equivalent experience.Minimum of seven years' experience servicing medical imaging equipment such as General X-Ray (Rad, including but not limited to Rad Rooms, Portables and C-Arms); must be able to repair and maintain a wide variety of imaging equipment.Reliable transportation required.Valid Driver's License required.This position requires participation in a rotational on-call schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Candidates must be available to respond to urgent service needs outside of regular business hours and may be required to return to the facility on short notice.

Pay Range
$43.20 – $64.26 / hour
