Dream Center Manager
The Dream Center Manager will be responsible for the oversight, program development, planning, implementation, and evaluation of all program services. The Dream Center Manager will :
- Responsible for the performance and activities of all staff and program services. This includes providing regular supervision to program staff and assistance with crisis-related issues; facilitate open communication and regular team meetings.
- Responsible for the overall management of Dream Centers located at high-need secondary schools to serve as inclusive, safe spaces on campuses for students to study, build peer support and become leaders.
- Be responsible for planning, implementation and evaluation and expansion efforts of the Dream Center services. Services provided will include youth leadership development, youth life skills development, counseling and / or case management, peer meditation, events and convening, and training for students and staff.
- Responsible for analyzing, collecting, and monitoring data on a recurring basis.
- Responsible for the overall management and relationships with partners including Los Angeles County Commission on Human Relations, California Conference for Equality & Justice (CCEJ), Western Justice Center (WJC), partnered school districts and other community-based partners.
- Oversee training and cross training programs and ensure all site coordinators are aware of and comply with agency and school regulations, policies, work procedures, instructions and deadlines. Participate in training programs and webinars as required. Represent the agency in the community by participating in collaborative, interagency coalitions and community organizations to address issues related to promoting social isolation and positive human relations services in Southeast Los Angeles County.
- Will be the central point of contact for the agency regarding program services to school districts and community.
Qualifications : Masters in Clinical Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy or related mental health / human services field required. Experience in networking with schools, municipalities, and community agencies in providing youth services programs. Superb planning and organizational skills with a proven track record for strategic planning and execution. Minimum (2) years of progressive supervisory experience and staff development. Ability to effectively communicate in written form as well as verbally. Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends. Ability to pass background check and criminal clearance.
Preferred Qualifications : Project Management experience is highly desired. Experience in working with a community-based organization. Bilingual in English and Spanish is highly desired.
