Job Description

  • Assists with activities of Program Integrity project teams as assigned.
  • Assists in the design and execution of test plans based on software requirements and technical specifications.
  • Participates in system integration and user acceptance testing. Documents test results in comparison to expected results.
  • Detects and documents software failures, anomalies, and issues to identify and correct defects.
  • Tracks identified issues and verifies resolution.
  • Coordinates transmission and receipt of data on the implementation date to ensure readiness of all internal and external parties;

ensures tasks including testing and training are completed prior to production release.

  • Monitors for post-implementation issues.
  • Collaborates with various teams to verify all project tasks remain on schedule for implementation.
  • Identifies needs for training; organizes, develops, and conducts training. Coordinates with subject matter experts regarding instructional design.

Handles logistics for training activities, including coordinating off-site training activities.

  • Tracks and reports training outcomes; provides feedback.
  • Assists in the design, development, testing, and documentation of all data transformation, de-duplication, extraction, and migration activities.
  • Ensures key fields and business rules are conveyed clearly to ensure data integrity. Works with data owners to verify accuracy of transformed data.
  • Assists with reject and exception handling processes; resolves exception reports.
  • Ensures that service disruptions are reported immediately.
  • Plans, coordinates, and executes communications related to the modernization project; includes creative aspects of project communications, development of communication materials from draft through distribution of final product, and communications with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Schedules, prepares for, attends, and actively participates in Joint Application Design (JAD) sessions, project status meetings, and any other Program Integrity project-related meetings.
  • Records, prepares, and distributes meeting minutes and action items. Leads meetings as assigned.
  • Conducts research relating to the development of the modernization systems.
  • Evaluates new and / or revised regulations to determine the impact to the Medicaid program and the development of the modernization systems.

Revises rules, regulations, and procedures to address changes in law or policy.

  • Reports project risks and issues to supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Completes project status reports, as assigned.
  • Support Program Integrity’s mission to reduce fraud, waste and abuse.
  • Analyze business and recipient audits to ensure compliance with current LDH policies and procedures.
  • Utilize reporting and data analysis to streamline processes in an effort to increase program efficiency.
  • Communicates relevant information to project team as needed; coordinates document distribution to all team members.
  • Provides functional supervision over contractor staff. Reviews contractor deliverables for accuracy and completeness.
  • Participates in project closure activities including documentation of lessons learned.
  • Prepares, interprets, and clarifies eligibility policies and procedures.
  • Performs other duties as assigned to ensure the smooth operation of the project.

Required Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree or 6 six years of professional experience in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum two yearsof professional experience working in an office environment
  • Minimum one year of professional experience in business analytics and report creation.
  • Minimum one year of professional experience managing projects.
  • Minimum one year of professional experience in healthcare field, Medicaid eligibility, or Medicaid program support.
  • Excellent analytical skills; effective organizational and time management skills.
  • Great attention to detail and follow up.
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Experience presenting information to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to set, follow, and meet deadlines.

Desired Qualifications :

  • Advanced degree.
  • Two years of professional experience in business analytics and report creation.
  • Two years of professional experience managing projects.
  • Two years of professional experience in healthcare field, Medicaid eligibility, or Medicaid program support.
  • Minimum one year of professional experience with LDH systems or programs utilized by the Department.
