About the Role :
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Processor to join our HR / Finance team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience processing payroll within a nursing home or long-term care environment and be proficient in Empeon payroll software. This role requires strong analytical skills, accuracy, and a solid understanding of payroll regulations and compliance within the healthcare industry.
Key Responsibilities :
Process biweekly payroll accurately and on time using Empeon .
Maintain and update employee payroll records, deductions, and accruals.
Verify timecards, PTO balances, and adjustments for accuracy.
Handle payroll-related inquiries from employees and management.
Reconcile payroll reports and prepare related financial summaries.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws.
Collaborate with HR and Accounting to resolve discrepancies and ensure data integrity.
Support audits and reporting as required.
Qualifications :
Minimum of 2–3 years of payroll processing experience in a nursing home, long-term care, or healthcare facility.
Proficiency in Empeon is required .
Strong understanding of payroll laws, garnishments, and tax withholdings.
High attention to detail, confidentiality, and organizational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and general computer systems.
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred :
Experience with union payrolls or multi-location facilities.
Familiarity with HRIS systems and benefit deductions.
