Job Description : Hardware Support Technician
We are seeking a Hardware Support Technician to join our team in Sunnyvale, CA & San Francisco, CA.

Responsibilities :
- Image and install software on Apple, Windows, and Linux laptops / desktops
- Troubleshoot post-deployment issues on multiple computer platforms : Macintosh, Windows, Linux, and mobile devices
- Perform daily checks in conference rooms
- Configure and assist executives while in meetings
- Knowledge of network configurations : LAN, WAN, Wireless, VPN, and VLAN
- Identify and resolve hardware and software application conflicts
- Open and close service requests, as well as manage the classification, assignment, tracking, and completion of requests or incidents
- Responsible for asset tagging and entering all incoming equipment into our asset management system
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to properly onboard incoming new hires
- Ensure that hardware is properly assigned and updated into our management system
- Provide weekly reports on physical inventory counts as well as record weekly outflows of hardware equipment
- Work with external suppliers to schedule repairs for damaged / malfunctioning hardware
- Ensure that resolutions are consistent with company standards and policies
Requirements :
Prefer 1-3 years of IT experience, including technical trainingMust have worked and supported an enterprise environment for at least 1 yearExperience with event support or similar – assisting users with quick on-the-spot configuration of apps, hardware, and OSKnowledge of webex-like tools for video conferencingMust have worked at a minimum of 1 year in a customer-facing roleKnowledge of Windows, Macintosh, and Linux platforms, (including portables) and Microsoft Office suite of applicationsExperience with imaging Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6 is a plusFamiliar with basic network concepts (e.g., TCP / IP, Windows Networking, Ethernet)Experience in using PC-based word processing, presentation, and e-mail software preferredExperience with using PC-based spreadsheet software sufficient to develop formulas, complete calculations across multiple worksheets, and use functions preferredAbility and willingness to work extended hours or a modified schedule to support planned activities or emergency situationsOutstanding customer service and interpersonal skillsExcellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks among many competing requestsExperience working in or supporting a call center or help desk environmentMCP, A+ Certifications, and / or knowledge of UNIX systems is a plusAptitude for learningExcellent oral and written communication skillsAbility to work in teams and in a team environmentAble to lift up to 50 lbsJ-18808-Ljbffr
