The USVI ODR, a division of the Virgin Islands Public Finance Authority, has entrusted us with the critical task of managing and supporting federally funded recovery projects across the U.S. Virgin Islands. Our work will involve overseeing the reconstruction of key educational institutions, all of which were severely impacted by Hurricanes Irma and Maria in 2017.
We're looking for an experienced and collaborative Project Manager to relocate to either St. Thomas or St. Croix to support the delivery of a multi-billion dollar disaster recovery program. Based at the client site in the US Virgin Islands, you'll be responsible for managing the project team and the overall project delivery, but also for the management of the project development from conception through completion in accordance with program objectives. You will manage and provide oversight and facilitate resolution to complex project related challenges.

Support the Senior Project Manager Education sector.
Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables; develop detailed execution plans.
Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure effective collaboration and communication.
Manage project budgets and financial performance, ensuring alignment with cost constraints.
Identify and mitigate project risks through proactive planning and problem-solving.
Maintain clear and consistent communication with stakeholders regarding progress, challenges, and decisions.
Ensure all project deliverables meet quality standards and client expectations.
Apply proven project management methodologies to enhance efficiency and add value.
Monitor project timelines and ensure milestones and deadlines are met.
Make strategic decisions to address challenges and keep projects on track.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Engineering or a related field.
5-9 years of experience in construction and at least 2 years as a project manager.
Strong working knowledge of pre-design and pre-construction, contract management, project delivery methods, building systems / components and technology, team building, and client relationship building.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Self-motivated, initiator, leader; demonstrated through professional society involvements or related activities.
Demonstrates ability to develop relationships with clients and to win work.
Ideally you'll also have :
Master's Degree in Business, Project Management.
Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) certification.

The base salary range for this position is $135,000.00 to $150,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
