PARTS MANAGER - TRUCK

We are seeking a highly experienced Parts Manager to join our team at our heavy truck dealership in Columbus, OH. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of parts management experience, preferably overseeing a team of 25-30 personnel.

Responsibilities :

• Oversee all aspects of the parts department, including inventory management, ordering, stocking, and distribution of parts.
• Develop and implement strategies to optimize parts sales and profitability.
• Lead and mentor a team of parts personnel, providing guidance and training as needed.
• Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and negotiate pricing and terms to ensure competitive advantage.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
• Monitor and analyze parts sales performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as service and sales, to meet customer needs and achieve overall business objectives.

Requirements :

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in parts management within the heavy truck industry.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a large team.
• Extensive knowledge of heavy truck parts and components, with experience working with brands such as Mack, Volvo, Cummins, Detroit, Freightliner, Peterbilt / PACCAR, or similar.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in computerized inventory management systems.
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field preferred.
