Responsibilities :

• Developsmaintains and enhances complex and diverse software systems (e.g.processingintensive analytics novel algorithm developmentmanipulation of extremely large data sets realtime systems andbusiness management information systems) based upon documentedrequirements.
• Works individually or as part ofa team.
• Reviews and tests software componentsfor adherence to the design requirements and documents testresults.
• Resolves software problemreports.
• Utilizes software development andsoftware design methodologies appropriate to the developmentenvironment. Provides specific input to the software components ofsystem design to include hardware / software tradeoffs software reuseuse of Commercial Offtheshelf (COTS) / Government Offtheshelf (GOTS)in place of new development and requirements analysis and synthesisfrom system level to individual softwarecomponents.

Qualifications :

• Fourteen(14) years experience as a SWE in programs and contracts of similarscope type and complexity is required.
• ABachelors Degree from an accredited college or university inComputer Science or related discipline. An additional four (4)years of software development experience on projects with similarsoftware development processes may be substituted for a BachelorsDegree
• Experience working with the customer orstakeholder to define document and implement systemrequirements.
• The ability to create and executetest cases for peer codetesting.

Shall possess thefollowingcapabilities :

• Oversee one ormore software development teams and ensure the work is completed inaccordance with the constraints of the software development processbeing used on any particular project
• Design orimplement complex algorithms requiring adherence to strict timingsystem resource or interface constraints; Perform quality controlon team products
• Confer with system engineersand hardware engineers to derive software requirements and toobtain information on project limitations and capabilitiesperformance requirements andinterfaces
• Coordinate software systeminstallation and monitor equipment functioning to ensureoperational specifications are met
• Implementrecommendations for improving documentation and softwaredevelopment processstandards
