Compensation Range : $75,000 - $85,000 / Annually

PURPOSE
The Culinary Manager is responsible for oversight of the complete back of house operation, including controlling all food-related costs, back of house team member labor costs, food quality, and overall condition of the kitchen area.
Duties & Responsibilities
Perform daily line check and safety walk-throughsResponsible for food budget and cost control of food and laborInvestigate and review all sub-standard food with BOH teamReview supplier goods prices monthlyMonitor food waste and implement solutions to minimize wasteCollaborate with the Corporate Chef on menu development and engineeringEnsure the kitchen runs smoothly and is well-stockedFoster an environment of trust and respectManage the full lifecycle of team members : hiring, training, coaching, skill development, and terminationsMaintain high standards of food and beverage quality, guest service, and cost controlManage staffing levels and controllable costs within budgetComplete nightly logs and manager reportsMonitor and enforce inventory controlsKeep menu and allergen information up to dateBuild relationships with regular guests and encourage repeat businessAddress guest concerns and resolve complaintsComply with safety, health, and liquor lawsMaintain safety and sanitation standardsEnsure proper checkout proceduresPerform additional tasks as assignedQualifications & Skills
High School Diploma or equivalent requiredBachelor's Degree in Culinary Arts preferredProof of eligibility to work in the U.S.Valid Driver's License21+ years oldState work cards as required3-5 years of related experienceProficient in Windows MS Office, Open Table, OutlookKnowledge of profitability analysis, budgeting, cost controlsKnowledge of labor and health lawsExperience with POS systemsProper lifting techniquesGuest relations skillsSanitation and safety knowledgeAbility to communicate effectively in EnglishWORKING CONDITIONS
Conditions include indoor / outdoor work, exposure to hot / cold surfaces, noise, crowds, smoke, and fast-paced environment. Shifts may vary to include days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to walk and stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform physical tasks such as reaching, climbing, and crouching.
