Support Services Clerk

The Georgia Department of Community Health (DCH) is one of Georgia's four health agencies serving the state's growing population of almost 10 million people. DCH serves as the lead agency for Medicaid, oversees the State Health Benefit Plan (SHBP), and includes Healthcare Facility Regulation, impacting one in four Georgians. Through effective planning, purchasing and oversight, DCH provides access to affordable, quality health care to millions of Georgians, including some of the state's most vulnerable and under-served populations. Six enterprise offices support the work of the agency's four program divisions. DCH employees are based in Atlanta, Cordele and across the state.

DCH is currently seeking qualified candidates for a Support Services Clerk in for the Facilities & Support Services team. This role has the primary responsibility of supporting the agency's mailroom. The clerk supports the team by performing manual labor and clerical tasks to include the distribution of incoming and outgoing interoffice mail and packages. Successful candidates will provide exceptional customer service with internal customers (i.e. employees) and external customers (i.e. vendors & partners) while following policy and procedure as outlined. This is not a hybrid eligible position and will report to the office daily. The clerk will report directly to the Mailroom Supervisor and the performance of these responsibilities may require frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
